 Frankenstein's Monster Day
| In the summer of 1816, Mary Shelly was 19 years old and visiting a villa in Switzerland. Stormy weather forced the guests to stay indoors, so they spent the time reading ghost stories. One night, Mary was challenged to write her own ghost story - and this became Frankenstein. The classic monster movie based on her book was made in 1931. It scared the living daylights out of all movie-goers and was the most famous role Boris Karloff every played. |
