1 cup butter 1 lb. light brown sugar 1 cup light corn syrup 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 (12oz) can sweetened condensed milk 4 cups pecans 1 tablespoon vanilla DIRECTIONS 1. Combine the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, salt and condensed milk in a large, heavy saucepan. Stirring constantly, bring to a roiling boil. 2. Keep stirring, reduce heat and cook to a firm ball stage (250 degrees on your candy themometer). 3. Remove from heat. Stir in pecans and vanilla, then cool for 10 minutes. 4. Using a tablespoon, drop spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet or waxed paper. When completely cool, wrap in waxed paper or saran wrap to store. ENJOY! |
