Frozen Food Day |
People have been freezing food in artic regions since pre-historic times - and weren't they smart! We now know that freezing is safer than any other form of food preservation since bacteria can't grow on frozen food. This industry grew rapidly during the 20th century because it saved people time (and storage space) in their kitchens. An added benefit is that frozen food loses less flavor and vitamins than other methods during processing. Frozen Spinach Pie |
