Macaroons Day |
During the Roman days, cookies were like hard crackers. They had to dip them in wine to make them soft enough to eat. Over the centuries a raised biscuit cookie was made - still hard, but an improvement. Cookies as we know them today weren't developed until about 100 years ago - except for the macaroon.
