Finally Summer Day |
The first day of summer is the longest day of the year. It occurs when the earth changes it's position as it rotates around the sun - placing the sun at it's most northerly point and directly overhead. The temperature and weather will not change instantly. The warmest days usually arrive several weeks after the beginning of the summer season. And don't forget the seasons are reversed in the Southern Hemisphere. |
