Buffalo Bill Day |
Buffalo Bill was born William Frederick Cody in Iowa in 1846. He was a Pony Express rider, Indian scout, horse thief and buffalo hunter. July 4, 1883, he presented his first Wild West show in North Platte, Nebraska. An outdoor exhibition of western scenes, Cody drove a stagecoach full speed, guns blazing into the arena. With attractions like Pony Express relay races and Custer's Last Stand, the popular show toured the US and Europe for years. |
