Ziegfeld Follies Day |
Florenz Ziegfeld was one of America greatest theatrical producers. From 1907 until his death in 1932, his Ziegfeld Follies were a highlight of New York entertainment. Famous for elaborate staging, he hired big stars like Fannie Brice, Eddie Cantor, Will Rogers and W.C. Fields. But, his trademark was the beautiful chorus line. Just as girls later dreamed of being a Rockette, girls of his day dreamed of being a Ziegfeld girl! |
