Nick Carter is the oldest of five children, but the youngest member of the Backstreet Boys.
His family moved from New York to Tampa Bay, and by the time Nick was in fourth grade he was acting and dancing professionally. His great singing voice got him the job of singing in halftime shows for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. By the time he was 15, he had appeared in commercials and was auditioning for TV roles. It was at an audition for a Nickelodeon series where he met A.J. and Howie. The three musicians spent the waiting hours harmonizing and realized they had something good. When they met Kevin and Brian, the Backstreet Boys were born. Nick is the biggest prankster of the group and is known for hunting down a McDonald's instead of eating the local food in foreign cities when they are on tour.
