Antonio is considered one of Hollywood's most attractive leading men. At 14, he started acting with a small theater company. He then went on to study at the School of Dramatic Art in Málaga. He moved to Madrid when he was 19 and joined the National Theater of Spain. After making several Spanish films, his U.S. movie debut came in 'The Mambo Kings' in 1992. Since he didn't speak English, he learned the dialogue for this movie phonetically. He went on to star in such hits as 'Interview With a Vampire' and 'Philadelphia' . His most acclaimed role to date has been as Zorro in 'The Mark of Zorro'. He and his second wife, actress Melanie Griffith, have one daughter, Stella.
